Royal Decree 39/88 Appointing Non-resident Ambassadors

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 40/86 Issuing the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Ali bin Salim bin Bader Al-Hinai—Our ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Islamic Federal Republic of the Comoros.

Article II

Ambassador Salim bin Mohammed bin Salim Al-Wahaibi—Our ambassador to the Republic of India—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Seychelles.

Article III

Ambassador Ali bin Abdullah Al-Musafer—Our ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to both the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and Malaysia.

Article IV

Ambassador Muneer bin Abdulnabi bin Yousuf Makki—Our ambassador to the French Republic—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Portuguese Republic.

Article V

Ambassador Awadh bin Bader bin Marie Al-Shanfari—Our ambassador to the United States of America—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Argentine Republic.

Article VI

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
