We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,
and Royal Decree 79/87 Establishing the Oman Fisheries Company,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article 1
Article 6 of the mentioned Royal Decree 79/87 Establishing the Oman Fisheries Company is hereby amended to read as follows:
Article 6
The founders shall not subscribe, whether in their own names or in the names of their establishments or companies, to any of the shares offered for public subscription pursuant to the preceding article. Shareholders of Oman National Fisheries Company shall not subscribe, whether in their own names or in the names of their establishments or companies, to such shares except to the extent that the shares they own reach the maximum limit referred to in the preceding article. Furthermore, it is not permitted for any natural or legal person, with the exception of the Government of the Sultanate, to own more than three thousand shares in Oman Fisheries Company.
Article 2
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
