We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,
and Royal Decree 64/78 Issuing the Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit and its amendments,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The Bukha Coastal Area Planning and Development Project specified in the attached note and masterplan is hereby deemed a public benefit project.
Article II
The competent entities may seize, through direct execution, real estate and land necessary for the project, and all establishments on them, in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit.
Article III
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Note on Declaring Public Benefit Status for the Bukha Coastal Area Planning and Development Project
Within the framework of the royal directives of His Majesty the Sultan, may God protect him, to beautify the coastal area of Bukha and remove abandoned buildings that distort the public view, the Ministry of Housing has prepared a project for the planning and development of the area, with the aim of providing a large number of usable plots of land in preparation for their allocation to the local population, while taking into account planning principles and ratios commensurate with the importance and nature of the area.
The implementation of the project requires that public benefit status be declared to it in preparation for the expropriation of the land and real estate obstructing its path, in accordance with the provisions of the law.
