We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
A committee named the “Commercial and Industrial Coordination Committee” is hereby established, which is competent to consider matters that ensure the coordination of efforts between relevant government entities and the private sector in a manner that stimulates the commercial and industrial sectors and contributes to achieving the comprehensive development of the country.
Article II
The committee is hereby formed under the chairmanship of the Minister of Commerce and Industry and the membership of:
– The Minister of Transport.
– The Minister of Labour and Vocational Training.
– The Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries.
– The Secretary General of the Development Council.
– The Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
– The Deputy Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
– A number of members representing the regions of the Sultanate.
The committee may seek the assistance of the necessary experts from ministries and government authorities whenever the need arises, and it shall submit its recommendations to the Council of Ministers.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
