Royal Decree 9/92 Amending Some Provisions of Royal Decree 53/88 Issuing the Muscat Securities Market Law

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 53/88 Issuing the Muscat Securities Market Law,

and Royal Decree 1/91 Adopting the Fourth Five-Year Development Plan (1991-1995),

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The text of article 34(a) of the mentioned Muscat Securities Market Law issued by Royal Decree 53/88 is hereby replaced with the following text:

Article 34(a)

The Public Treasury of the Sultanate shall bear the capital and current expenses of the market during the period of its establishment, and for another period not exceeding the end of the mentioned fourth five-year plan, provided that the market is then financed from its own sources of financing.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from 20 May 1991.
