Royal Decree 56/94 Transferring and Appointing in the Diplomatic Corps

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 40/86 Issuing the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Those named below are hereby transferred to the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry:

Ambassador Ali bin Abdullah bin Ali Al-Musafer, Our ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Ambassador Saud bin Sulaiman bin Hamyar Al-Nabhani, Our ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany.

Ambassador Khalifa bin Abdullah bin Salim Al-Humaidi, Our ambassador to the Republic of Iraq.

Ambassador Mohammed bin Salim bin Mohammed Al-Hajri, Our ambassador to the Republic of Tunisia.

Article II

Ambassador Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Said Al-Kharusi, Our ambassador to the Syrian Arab Republic, is hereby transferred and appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Federal Republic of Germany.

Article III

Advisor Said bin Khalifa bin Mohammed Al-Busaidi is hereby granted the title of ambassador and appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Italy.

Article IV

Advisor Mohammed bin Omar bin Ahmed Aideed is hereby granted the title of ambassador and appointed Permanent Representative of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Nations in Geneva.

Article V

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
