We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,
Royal Decree 26/79 Issuing the Law of National Parks and Protected Natural Sites and its amendments,
and Royal Decree 10/82 Issuing the Law on Environmental Protection and Pollution Control and its amendments,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The area, the dimensions of which are specified in the attached annex and map, is hereby designated a protected natural site named the “Dimaniyat Islands Nature Reserve”.
Article II
The Minister of Regional Municipalities and Environment shall issue the regulations and decisions implementing this decree, in coordination with the relevant ministries and entities, provided that they include the rules governing entry to the reserve, the fees prescribed for it, the timing of visits, the activities allowed to be practised and those that are prohibited to be carried out, and the appropriate penalties in each case.
Article III
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.
