Royal Decree 63/2002 Approving the Assignment by Japex Oman Limited and Japex Aswad Limited of All Their Rights and Obligations in the Petroleum Agreement Signed on 4 July 1981 to Mazoon Oil and Gas Company BV Limited

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Oil and Minerals Law issued by Royal Decree 42/74,

Royal Decree 60/81 Ratifying the Petroleum Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and Japex Oman Limited Signed on 4 July 1981,

and the set of documents by which Japex Oman Limited and Japex Aswad Limited assigned all their rights and obligations in the petroleum agreement signed on 4 July 1981 to Mazoon Oil and Gas Company (BVI) Ltd, which accepts this assignment,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The assignment by Japex Oman Limited and Japex Aswad Limited of all their rights and obligations in the petroleum agreement signed on 4 July 1981 to Mazoon Oil and Gas Company (BVI) Limited is hereby approved.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
