Royal Decree 22/2004 Amending Some Provisions of the System of Private Entities Working in the Field of Youth Sports and Cultural Activities Issued by Royal Decree 41/2001

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and Royal Decree 41/2001 Issuing the System of Private Entities Working in the Field of Youth Sports and Cultural  Activities,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Articles 21(1) and 42(1) of the mentioned System of Private Entities Working in the Field of Youth Sports and Cultural Activities are hereby amended to read as follows:

Article 21

The general meeting shall hold an extraordinary meeting in the presence of a representative of the entity at the written request signed by a quarter of its members, or by the chairman, which must be submitted to the board of directors indicating the reasons for the invitation, provided that they are among the following matters:

Article 42

Every sports federation must have a general meeting consisting of one representative chosen by the board of directors of each club that is a member of the federation and representatives not exceeding twelve individuals chosen by the other entities that are members of the federation.

Article II

Article 39 of the mentioned System of Private Entities Working in the Field of Youth Sports and Cultural Activities is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its publication.
