Royal Decree 31/2005 Recomposing the Supreme Committee for Town Planning

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

Royal Decree 27/85 Establishing a Supreme Committee for Town Planning and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 86/99 Adopting the Organisational Structure of the Supreme Committee for Town Planning,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The Supreme Committee for Town Planning is hereby recomposed as follows:

– Minister of National Economy—Chairman

– Minister of Housing, Electricity, and Water—Deputy Chairman

– Minister of Interior—Member

– Inspector General of Police and Customs—Member

– Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar—Member

– Chairman of Muscat Municipality—Member

– Undersecretary of the Ministry of Regional Municipalities, Environment, and Water Resources for Regional Municipalities Affairs—Member

– The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism—Member

– Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications for Transport—Member

– Undersecretary of the Ministry of National Economy for Development Affairs—Member

Article II

The technical secretariat of the committee is subordinate to the Ministry of National Economy.

Article III

All that is contrary to this decree is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
