We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,
and Royal Decree 5/80 issuing the Land Law of 1980 and its amendments,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The phrase “or with the approval of His Majesty the Sultan based on a recommendation by the Council of Ministers” is hereby added at the end of article I of the mentioned Royal Decree 5/80.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.
