Royal Decree 54/2006 Appointing Non-resident Ambassadors

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law issued by Royal Decree 40/86 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Mohammed bin Yousuf bin Dawood Shalwani, Our ambassador to the Republic of India, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Kingdom of Nepal and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

Article II

Ambassador Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Issa Al-Harthi, Our ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Kingdom of Sweden, the Swiss Confederation, and the Republic of Finland.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
