We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
A Ministry for Environment and Climate Affairs is hereby established, and the competences, allocations, and holdings relating to the environment from the Ministry of Regional Municipalities, Environment, and Water Resources are hereby transferred to it, as well as all employees working in the field of environment in this ministry with their same financial grades.
Article II
All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.
Article III
This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
