Royal Decree 115/2011 Appointing Governors

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Civil Service Law promulgated by Royal Decree 120/2004,

and Royal Decree 114/2011 Adopting the Administrative Division of the Sultanate and Governing the Work of Governors,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The following are hereby appointed governors in the governorates assigned to each of them, and they are granted the special grade:

1. Sayyid Khalifa bin Al-Mirdas bin Ahmed Al-Busaidi — Governor of Musandam.

2. Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said bin Ibrahim Al-Busaidi — Governor of Buraimi.

3. Sheikh Dr Khalifa bin Hamad bin Hilal Al-Saadi — Governor of Dakhiliya.

4. Sheikh Muhanna bin Saif bin Salim Al-Lamki — Governor of Batinah North.

5. Sheikh Hilal bin Said bin Hamdan Al-Hajri — Governor of Batinah South.

6. Sheikh Yahya bin Hamood bin Hamad Al-Mamari — Governor of Sharqiyah North.

7. Sheikh Abdullah bin Mustahail bin Salim Shammas — Governor of Sharqiyah South.

8. Sheikh Saif bin Hamyar bin Mohammed Al-Malik Al-Shihi — Governor of Dhahirah.

9. Sheikh Muadad bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Yaqoubi — Governor of Wusta.

Article II

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
