Royal Decree 28/2016 Promulgating the System of the Institute of Public Administration

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and Royal Decree 42/90 Reorganising the Institute of Public Administration,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The attached system hereby applies in regard to the Institute of Public Administration.

Article II

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Public Administration shall issue the necessary regulations and decisions to implement the provisions of the attached system, and until such regulations and decisions are issued, the laws and regulations applicable to the units of the administrative apparatus of the state operate, in regard to matters not governed by a special text in this system, to the degree they do not contradict with its provisions.

Article III

The aforementioned Royal Decree 42/90 is hereby repealed, as well as all that is contrary to this decree and the attached system, or is in conflict with their provisions.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
