Royal Decree 8/2017 Appointing Non-resident Ambassadors

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Law Governing the Foreign Ministry promulgated by Royal Decree 32/2008,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Saleh bin Sulaiman bin Ahmed Al-Harthy, Our ambassador to the Republic of Kenya, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Uganda and the Republic of Rwanda.

Article II

Ambassador Sheikh Hamad bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al-Rawahi, Our ambassador to the Republic of India, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Singapore, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, and the Republic of Seychelles.

Article III

Ambassador Mubarak bin Salim bin Ali Al-Zakwani, Our ambassador to the Republic of South Africa, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Zimbabwe and the Republic of Angola.

Article IV

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
