Royal Decree 35/2017 Ratifying the Protocol Amending the TRIPS Agreement

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

Royal Decree 112/2000 Ratifying the Protocol of Accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the Marrakesh Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organization,

and the Protocol Amending the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS)

and after presentation to Majlis Al-Shura,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The aforementioned protocol is hereby ratified in the form attached.

Article II

Competent bodies shall deposit the instrument of ratification for the aforementioned protocol in accordance with its provisions.

Article III

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
