We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,
the Law Governing Sohar Municipality promulgated by Royal Decree 9/97,
the Law Governing Regional Municipalities promulgated by Royal Decree 96/2000,
and Muscat Municipality Law promulgated by Royal Decree 38/2015,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The aforementioned Law Concerning the Governance of Sohar Municipality, the Law Governing Regional Municipalities, and Muscat Municipality Law are hereby repealed.
Article II
This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.
