and in pursuance of public interest,
it is hereby decided
Article I
The Gulf standard GSO 2698:2022 for the technical requirements for electric vehicles is hereby deemed as a binding Omani standard specification.
Article II
An administrative fine not exceeding 1,000 (one thousand) Rial Omani shall be imposed on anyone who violates the provisions of this decision, and the fine shall be doubled if the violation is repeated.
Article III
This decision shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force after the lapse of 3 (three) months from the date of its publication.
