Based on the Veterinary Quarantine Law issued by Royal Decree 45/2004,
the Executive Regulation of the Veterinary Quarantine Law issued by Ministerial Decision 107/2008,
and the recommendation of the competent veterinary entity to ban the import of some species of molluscs and their products, derivatives, and waste from Västra Götaland County in the Kingdom of Sweden,
and in pursuance of public interest,
it is hereby decided
Article I
The import of molluscs of the species provided in chapter 2.4.3 of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) Manual for Diagnostic Testing of Aquatic Animals and their products, derivatives, and waste from Västra Götaland County in the Kingdom of Sweden is hereby banned, until the reason for the ban ceases and a decision is issued in this regard.
Products, derivatives, and waste that are heat treated or processed in accordance with the Aquatic Animals Health Code issued by the Office International des Epizooties (OIE)/the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) are excluded.
Article II
The competent entities shall implement this decision, each in the fields of their mandates.
Article III
This decision must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.
