Royal Decree 60/2025 Amending Some Provisions of Royal Decree 52/2023 Issuing the Social Protection Law

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

and the Social Protection Law issued by Royal Decree 52/2023,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The texts of clauses 2, 3, and 5 of article VI of the mentioned Royal Decree 52/2023 are hereby replaced with the following texts:

2. The provisions of the branch of insurance against work injuries and occupational diseases for non-Omani workers of the attached law, which come into force after 5 (five) years from the date of the issuance of this decree.

3. Chapter six of part three of the attached law, which comes into force after 3 (three) years from the date of the issuance of this decree.

5. Article 139(1) of the attached law, which comes into force from the date specified by the Board of Directors of the Social Protection Fund, not exceeding 4 (four) years from the date of the issuance of this decree.

Article II

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.
