Based on the Veterinary Quarantine Law issued by Royal Decree 45/2004,
the Executive Regulation of the Veterinary Quarantine Law issued by Ministerial Decision 107/2008,
and the recommendation of the competent veterinary entity to ban the import of live birds and their products, derivatives, and waste from some states,
and in pursuance of public interest,
it is hereby decided
Article I
The import of live birds and their products, derivatives, and waste from the region of Catalonia in the Kingdom of Spain; the regions of Perth and Kinross in Scotland in the United Kingdom; the provinces of Isabela, Nueva Ecija, and Davao del Sur in the Republic of the Philippines; and the provinces of Podlaskie and Lubelskie in the Republic of Poland is hereby banned, until the reason for the ban ceases and a decision is issued in this regard.
Products, derivatives, and waste that are heat treated or processed in accordance with the Terrestrial Animals Health Code issued by the Office International des Epizooties (OIE)/the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) are excluded.
Article II
The competent entities shall implement this decision, each in the fields of their mandates.
Article III
This decision must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.
