Royal Decree 31/2026 Regarding the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

Royal Decree 3/2013 Establishing the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority,

and the System of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority issued by Royal Decree 68/2014,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The text of article I of the mentioned Royal Decree 3/2013 is hereby replaced with the following text:

An authority named the “Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority” is hereby established. It enjoys legal personality and financial and administrative independence.

Article II

The attached amendments are hereby made to the mentioned System of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority.

Article III

The President of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority shall, after the approval of the board of directors of the authority, issue the necessary regulations and decisions for implementing the provisions of the System of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority within a period not exceeding 6 (six) months from the date of entry into force of this decree, and until they are issued, the existing regulations and decisions continue to operate to the degree that they do not contradict with its provisions.

Article IV

Article II of the mentioned Royal Decree 68/2014 is hereby repealed, as well as all that is contrary to this decree and the attached amendments or in conflict with their provisions.

Article V

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.
