 Royal Decree 96/2007 Applying Some Laws to the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers and Its Officers

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

Royal Decree 87/81 Establishing the Council of Ministers Secretariat,

Royal Decree 128/91 Issuing the Law concerning the Financial System of the Diwan of Royal Court,

Royal Decree 2/94 Amending the Ministerial Composition,

Royal Decree 86/96 Issuing the Law on Pensions and End of Service Gratuity for Omani Officers of the Diwan of Royal Court,

and Royal Decree 97/97 Issuing the Law Concerning the Officer System of the Diwan of Royal Court,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the Law Concerning the Financial System of the Diwan of Royal Court, the Law on Pensions and End of Service Gratuity for Omani Officers of the Diwan of Royal Court, and the Law Concerning the Officer System of the Diwan of Royal Court hereby apply to the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers and its officers.

Article II

The Secretary General of the Council of Ministers shall exercise the powers prescribed to the minister in the mentioned laws and any other law in regard to the administrative divisions subordinate to the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers.

Article III

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on 1 September 2007.
