Based on the Veterinary Quarantine Law promulgated by Royal Decree 45/2004,
the Executive Regulation of the Veterinary Quarantine Law issued by Ministerial Decision 107/2008,
and the recommendation of the competent veterinary entity to ban the import of live birds and their products, derivatives, and waste from some states,
and in pursuance of public interest,
it is hereby decided
Article I
The import of live birds and their products, derivatives, and waste from the Republic of Romania, the Republic of Korea, the Tirana County in the Republic of Albania, the Hokkaido Prefecture in the State of Japan, and the Konya Province in the Republic of Turkey is hereby banned, until the reason for the ban ceases and a decision is issued in this regard.
Products, derivatives, and waste that are heat treated or prepared in accordance with the Aquatic Animals Health Code issued by the Office International des Epizooties (OIE)/the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) are excluded.
Article II
The competent entities shall implement this decision, each in their fields of competence.
Article III
This decision must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.
