Fatwa Summary: MJLA Fatwa 222761398 (Effect of Majlis Al-Shura Membership on Employment in Government Owned Company)

The Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs (MJLA) determined that it is not permitted for an employee of a company in which the government owns shares exceeding 40% of its capital to retain his employment in that company if he becomes a member of Majlis Al-Shura.
