Royal Decree 28/2001 Appointing Non-Resident Ambassadors

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law issued by Royal Decree 40/86 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Salim bin Mohammed bin Masoud Al-Riyami, Our ambassador to the Republic of Austria, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Croatia.

Article II

Ambassador Abdullah bin Hamad bin Marzouq Al-Badi, Our ambassador to the Republic of Yemen, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

Article III

Ambassador Yahya bin Abdullah bin Salim Al-Araimi, Our ambassador to the Republic of Italy, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Albania, the Hellenic Republic, the Republic of Malta, and Romania.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
