Royal Decree 48/86 Ratifying the Protocol on the Privileges and Immunities of the International Maritime Satellite Organization (INMARSAT)

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 88/80 on the Accession of the Sultanate to the Convention on the International Maritime Satellite Organization (INMARSAT),

the Charter of the mentioned International Maritime Satellite Organization (INMARSAT),

and the protocol on the privileges and immunities of the said organisation, signed in London on 1 December 1981,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The signature of the representative of the Sultanate on the Protocol on the Privileges and Immunities of the International Maritime Satellite Organization (INMARSAT), signed in London on 1 December 1981, is hereby approved.

Article 2

The mentioned protocol is hereby ratified.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
