Based on the Law on Environmental Protection and Pollution Control issued by Royal Decree 10/82 and its amendments,
the Law Regulating Regional Municipalities issued by Royal Decree 87/86,
and in pursuance of public interest,
The text of article I of the mentioned Ministerial Decision 128/93 is hereby replaced with the following text:
The cutting of green trees and shrubs is hereby banned, except with a permit from the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Environment, and trees and shrubs located within the boundaries of private property or agricultural holdings are excluded from this.
The collection or transport of dry trees (firewood) is also banned, except with a permit from the competent municipality, the Directorate General of Nature Conservation and Wildlife for the Governorate of Muscat, the Directorate General of Environment in the Governorate of Dhofar for this governorate, or the Directorate General of Regional Municipalities and Environment of Batinah North Region for the Wilayat of Sohar.
This decision must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its publication.

and Royal Decree 3/83 on the Law Governing Omani Nationality and its amendments,
and in pursuance of public interest,
Badriya bint Abdulrahman bin Faqir Al-Balushi is hereby authorised to renounce her Omani nationality.
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from 24 June 2000.
