Royal Decree 48/87 Appointing Members in the Board of Directors of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and the General Statute of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Sultanate of Oman issued on 15 May 1973 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The following are hereby appointed members of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry for a term of four years:

1. Ahmed bin Salim bin Said Al-Marhoon.

2. Said bin Salim bin Abdullah Al-Amri.

3. Mohammed bin Ali bin Mohammed Al-Balushi.

4. Sulaiman bin Saif bin Obaid Al-Azzani.

5. Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Maskari.

6. Said bin Amer bin Saif Al-Bahri.

7. Abdullah bin Darwish bin Mohammed Al-Shihi.

Article 2

All that is contrary to this decree is hereby repealed.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 46/87 Amending Income Tax on Mixed Companies in Which Omani Citizens Own a Share in Their Capital

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 65/77 Reducing Income Tax on Mixed Companies,

and Royal Decree 47/81 Issuing the Corporate Income Tax Law,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

With effect from the tax year whose balance sheet is closed on a date subsequent to the entry into force of this decree, income tax on mixed companies in which Omani citizens own a share in their capital is hereby determined in accordance with the following percentages and conditions:

1. Companies in which Omani citizens own more than 50% of the paid-up capital:

(a) The first thirty thousand Rial of net profit is exempt from tax.

(b) The next one hundred and seventy thousand Rial of net profit: 20%.

(c) Any excess of net profit: 25%.

2. Companies in which Omani citizens own between 35% and 50% of the paid-up capital:

(a) The first thirty thousand Rial of net profit is exempt from tax.

(b) The next one hundred and seventy thousand Rial of net profit: 25%.

(c) Any excess of net profit: 30%.

3. For companies in which Omani citizens own less than 35% of the paid-up capital, the rates provided in the Second Schedule attached to the mentioned Royal Decree 47/81 apply.

4. The provisions of the mentioned Royal Decree 65/77 and Royal Decree 47/81 continue to apply to mixed companies operating in the fields of agriculture, fisheries, industry, and mining.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette.

have decreed as follows

Article 1

Hamad bin Mohammed bin Hamdan Al-Sharji is hereby appointed Deputy President of the Commercial Dispute Resolution Tribunal.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.

Royal Decree 43/87 Appointing Judges to the Membership of the Commercial Dispute Resolution Tribunal

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 79/81 Forming the Commercial Dispute Resolution Tribunal,

and Royal Decree 98/82 Appointing Judges to the Membership of the Commercial Dispute Resolution Tribunal,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The appointment of the judges nominated for membership of the Commercial Dispute Resolution Tribunal is hereby approved.

Article 2

The president of the tribunal shall undertake the necessary measures to implement this decree in coordination with the competent entities in the state.

Article 3

The mentioned Royal Decree 98/82 is hereby repealed.

Article 4

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

have decreed as follows

Article 1

Ambassador Mohammed bin Taher bin Alawi Aideed–Our ambassador to the Italian Republic–is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Socialist Republic of Romania.

Article 2

Ambassador Ahmed bin Yousuf bin Obaid Al-Harthi—Our ambassador to the Republic of India—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Singapore and the Republic of Seychelles.

Article 3

Ambassador Hamad bin Nasser bin Mansoor Al-Toubi—Our ambassador to the Republic of Korea—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of the Philippines.

Article 4

Ambassador Abdulhussain bin Ali bin Abdullatif—Our ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Senegal.

Article 5

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The Secretary of the Council of Ministers is hereby appointed a member of each of the following specialised councils:

– Development Council

– Financial Affairs Council

– Education and Vocational Training Council

– Supreme Council for Youth Welfare

– Environmental and Water Resources Protection Council

In the event of his absence he may delegate whoever acts in his place within the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to attend the sessions on his behalf.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
