We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

Royal Decree 38/2009 Ratifying the Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income and on Capital,

and the Supplementary Protocol Amending the Agreement between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income signed in the city of Muscat on 15 Shawwal 1430, corresponding to 5 October 2009,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The aforementioned protocol is hereby ratified.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Ambassador Sheikh Humaid bin Ali bin Sultan Al-Maani, Our ambassador to the Republic of India, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.
