We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The Financial Affairs Council and the Natural Gas Council are hereby merged into one council named the “Financial Affairs and Energy Resources Council”, and the mandates prescribed to each of them are hereby transferred to it.

Article II

The Financial Affairs and Energy Resources Council is hereby recomposed under Our chairmanship as follows:

– Minister of National Economy Supervisor of the Ministry of Finance	Deputy chairman
– Deputy Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Oman	Member
– Minister of Petroleum and Minerals	Member
– Advisor to His Majesty the Sultan for Economic Planning Affairs	Member
– Minister of Interior	Member
– Minister of Transport	Member
– Special Advisor to His Majesty the Sultan for Foreign Communications	Member
– Minister of Electricity and Water	Member
– Secretary General of the Council of Ministers	Member
– Minister of Water Resources	Member
– Minister of Commerce and Industry	Member
– Minister of State for Development Affairs	Member
– Economic Advisor at the Diwan of Royal Court	Member
– Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance	Member

Article III

All text that is contrary to this decree is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Article I

A new article numbered 2bis is hereby added to the mentioned Royal Decree 7/94 with the following text:

The Head of the Internal Security Service shall issue the constitution of the fund and its internal regulations.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
