We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of article 19 of the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State,
and based on the matters presented to Us by the Minister of Transportation,
have decreed as follows
Article 1
The following directorates are hereby established at the Ministry of Transportation:
(a) Directorate General of Technical Affairs.
(b) Directorate General of Services and Public Relations.
(c) Directorate General of Transportation in the Southern Region.
Article 2
The administrations of the headquarters of the ministry are hereby organised and placed under the authority of the director general of the headquarters of the ministry.
Article 3
All directorates subordinate to the ministry are hereby organised within the directorates general established by virtue of this decree.
Article 4
The Minister of Transportation shall undertake the necessary measures to implement the provisions of this decree.
Article 5
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
