Qaboos bin Said
Sultan of Oman

Published in Official Gazette 209 issued on 15 January 1981.

Note on the Request Submitted by the Ministry of Land Affairs and Municipalities Regarding the Expropriation of the Properties Necessary for the Construction of a Market for the Sale of Meat, Fish, Vegetables, and Fruit in the Wilayat of Nizwa and the Wilayat of Rustaq

Due to the absence of a suitable market for the sale of meat, fish, vegetables, and fruit in both the Wilayat of Nizwa and the Wilayat of Rustaq, the necessary consultative and financial measures have been taken to construct these two markets. This is to facilitate access for citizens and to provide for their daily needs in clean, well-organised locations that are in line with the comprehensive renaissance the country is experiencing under its prosperous reign, under the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan.

Since the establishment of these two markets requires the expropriation of certain locations, as shown in the attached maps, we kindly request the issuance of the necessary royal decree to expropriate these locations in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 64/78.

Issued on: 24 December 1980

Minister of Land Affairs and Municipalities
