We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,
the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, 1973, signed in Tehran on 2 November 1973, and its annexes and protocols,
and the last protocol to the mentioned convention signed in London on 17 February 1978,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article 1
The Accession of the Government of the Sultanate of Oman to the mentioned International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, 1973, and its mentioned annexes and protocols is hereby approved.
Article 2
The competent entities shall implement this decree, each within its mandate.
Article 3
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
