Royal Decree 22/84 Amending the Law on Scouting in the Sultanate

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 10/75 Issuing the Law on Scouting in the Sultanate of Oman and its amendments, especially Royal Decree 23/81,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

Paragraph “Third” of article 6 of part two of the mentioned Law on Scouting is hereby amended to read as follows:

Third

– Members appointed by the president of the authority.

– The heads of the scouting and guiding commissions in the regions.

– Members whose appointment is deemed beneficial for the scouting and guiding movement due to their expertise or services, with their duties specified and their responsibilities clarified.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.
