Sultan of Oman
This decree was published in the Official Gazette 292 issued 15 July 1984.
Note on the request submitted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries regarding allocating the site of the poultry farm at Rumais area for public benefit
The poultry farm of Oman Farms Company Limited was established in Rumais area at a time when there were not yet any widespread homes, gardens, or public facilities around it. Moreover, at that time, no precise technical specifications for preventing environmental pollution were required for its establishment.
Since the site of the farm is now close to residential areas, and since the safety of citizens, the preservation of their health, and the protection of the environment from pollution are among the most important matters of public interest, it is therefore necessary to expropriate the site and the facilities on it in accordance with the approved planning, and to issue a royal decree allocating the mentioned site for public benefit.
