Royal Decree 90/85 Determining the Occupational Status of the Position of “Secretary General”

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The name “Secretary General” for a person appointed in government entities for which a royal decree is issued to that effect is hereby deemed equivalent to the name actual undersecretary of a ministry, from the date of appointment.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
