We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,
and Royal Decree 44/86 Adopting the Organisational Structure of the Ministry of Housing,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article 1
The following are hereby transferred from the Office of the Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar to the Ministry of Housing:
(a) The Directorate General of Urban Planning and Land Affairs.
(b) The Real Estate Register Management.
Their allocations and budgets are also hereby transferred to the Ministry of Housing. The Organisational Structure of the Office of the Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar is hereby amended accordingly.
Article 2
The Ministry of Housing, through its technical apparatus, shall continue to supervise the implementation and maintenance of the projects that were supervised by the Public Works Directorate up to the date of the issuance of this decree.
Article 3
The Organisational Structure of the Ministry of Housing is hereby adopted in accordance with the attached chart.
Article 4
Article 1 of the mentioned Royal Decree 44/86 is hereby repealed, as well as all that is contrary to this decree or in conflict with its provisions.
Article 5
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
