We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The provisions of the attached Personal Status Law hereby apply.
Article II
The Minister of Justice, Awqaf, and Islamic Affairs shall issue the decisions and regulations necessary for the implementation of this law.
Article III
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force after a month from the date of its publication.
