We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman,
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,
and Royal Decree 92/99 Establishing the Public Prosecution and Issuing Its Law,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The Organisational Structure of the Public Prosecution is hereby adopted in accordance with the attached annex. The Inspector General of Police and Customs may establish other directorates and sections of the Public Prosecution, after coordination with the competent entities.
Article II
The Public Prosecution shall exercise the mandates stipulated in the law, and shall work to achieve the principles of regional and international cooperation in the field of public prosecution. It may propose draft laws and regulations relating to its work.
Article III
All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.
Article 4
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
