Royal Decree 61/2008 Promulgating the Common Industrial Regulatory Law (Statute) of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the decision of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, which included the adoption of the Common Industrial Regulatory Law (System) of the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, issued in its 25th session held during the month of December 2004,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached law (system) shall apply in regard to industrial regulation.

Article II

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force thirty days after the date of issuance of the executive regulation of the attached law (system).
