Royal Decree 71/2012 Promulgating the Law Regulating Postal Services

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Postal Service Law promulgated by Royal Decree 27/80,

the System for the Collection of Taxes, Fees, and Other Amounts Due to Units of the Administrative Apparatus of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 32/94,

the Financial Law promulgated by Royal Decree 47/98,

the Law of the Administrative Court promulgated by Royal Decree 91/99,

the Banking Law promulgated by Royal Decree 114/2000,

the Telecommunications Law promulgated by Royal Decree 30/2002,

Royal Decree 48/2005 Establishing the Oman Post Company SAOC,

and Royal Decree 19/2008 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Transport and Communications and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,

and after presentation to Majlis Oman,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The attached Law Regulating Postal Services shall apply.

Article II

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.
