Royal Decree 45/2014 Transferring the Competence of Registering and Technical Licences to the Ministry of Information

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 26/75,

Royal Decree 51/97 Adopting the Organisational Structure of the Ministry of Information,

the Law on the Censorship of Artistic Works promulgated by Royal Decree 65/97,

Royal Decree 24/2005 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,

and Royal Decree 35/2009 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Information,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The Ministry of Information hereby undertakes the competence of registration and technical licences by way of transfer from the Ministry of Heritage and Culture.

Article II

The employees competent with registration and technical licences are hereby transferred from the Ministry of Heritage and Culture to the Ministry of Information with their same employment status. The records related to registration and technical licences are also hereby transferred to the Ministry of Information.

Article III

The Minister of Heritage and Culture and the Minister of Information shall issue the necessary decisions to implement this decree.

Article IV

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article V

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force after 30 (thirty) days.
