Royal Decree 21/2017 Promulgating the Animal Welfare Law

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the decision of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in its thirty-second session held in Riyadh during the period 19-20 December 2011 adopting the Animal Welfare Law,

and after presentation to Majlis Oman,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached Animal Welfare Law shall apply.

Article II

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette.
