We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,
Royal Decree 124/2008 Establishing the Oman Human Rights Commission and Determining Its Competences,
and Royal Decree 24/2016 Appointing Members to the Oman Human Rights Commission,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
Honourable Sheikh Abdullah bin Shuwain bin Amer Al-Hosni is hereby appointed Chairman of the Oman Human Rights Commission.
Article II
This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
