Royal Decree 110/2020 Abolishing the Public Authority for Privatisation and Partnership

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

Royal Decree 54/2019 Establishing the Public Authority for Privatisation and Partnership and Promulgating Its System,

and Royal Decree 39/96 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Finance and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

All competences, allocations, assets, rights, obligations, and holdings of the Public Authority for Privatisation and Partnership are hereby transferred to the Ministry of Finance, and its employees are hereby transferred to the Ministry of Finance with their same financial grades.

Article II

The phrase “Public Authority for Privatisation and Partnership” wherever it occurs in laws and royal decrees is hereby replaced with the phrase “Ministry of Finance.”

The phrases “Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Privatisation and Partnership” and “Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Privatisation and Partnership” wherever they occur in laws and royal decrees are hereby replaced with the phrase “Minister of Finance.”

Article III

The Public Authority for Privatisation and Partnership is hereby abolished, and all that is contrary to this decree or in conflict with its provisions is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
