We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,
and the Law Governing the Foreign Ministry promulgated by Royal Decree 32/2008,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The ambassadors named below are hereby transferred to the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry:
1. Yousuf bin Issa bin Ali Al-Zadjali, Our ambassador to the Russian Federation.
2. Sheikh Jumaa bin Hamdan bin Hassan Al-Malik, Our ambassador to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
3. Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashil bin Rashid Al-Maskari, Our ambassador to Brunei Darussalam.
4. Kifaya bint Khamis bin Miyah Al-Raisiya, Our ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain.
5. Mundhir bin Mahfoodh bin Salim Al-Mandhari, Our ambassador to the Republic of the Philippines.
6. Dr Ahmed bin Salim bin Mohammed Baomar, Our ambassador to the Republic of Italy.
7. Sheikh Hamad bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al-Rawahi, Our ambassador to the Republic of India.
8. Mubarak bin Salim bin Ali Al-Zakwani, Our ambassador to the Republic of South Africa.
9. Engineer Emad bin Hamood bin Salim Al-Abri, Our ambassador to the Federative Republic of Brazil.
10. Saleh bin Mohammad bin Ahmed Al-Saqri, Our ambassador to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
11. Yousuf bin Said bin Mohammed Al-Amri, Our ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany.
Article II
The following are hereby transferred:
1. Bader bin Mohammed bin Bader Al-Mandhari, Our ambassador to the Republic of Lebanon, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
2. His Highness Sayyid Nizar bin Al-Julanda bin Majid Al-Said, Our ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Italy.
Article III
The following are hereby appointed:
1. Maitha bint Saif bin Majid Al-Mahrouqiya an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Federal Republic of Germany.
2. Talal bin Sulaiman bin Habib Al-Rahbi an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Federative Republic of Brazil.
3. Hilal bin Abdullah bin Ali Al-Sinani an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Tunisia.
4. Ambassador Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Said Al-Saidi an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Lebanon.
Article IV
The following are hereby granted:
1. Minister Plenipotentiary Abdulghaffar bin Abdulkareem bin Issa Al-Balushi the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
2. Minister Plenipotentiary Saif bin Nasser bin Rashid Al-Badai the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
3. Minister Plenipotentiary Ahmed bin Ali bin Said Al-Rasdhi the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
4. Minister Plenipotentiary Mahmood bin Hamad bin Nasser Al-Hasni the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Swiss Confederation.
5. Counsellor Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Awadh Al-Nahdi the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Cyprus.
6. Counsellor Hamood bin Salim bin Abdullah Al-Tuwaih the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Russian Federation.
7. Counsellor Irma bint Said bin Mohammed Al-Kathiriya the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to Brunei Darussalam.
8. Counsellor Ruaa bint Issa bin Ashraf Al-Zadjaliya the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Kingdom of Belgium.
9. Counsellor Sayyid Faisal bin Harib bin Hamad Al-Busaidi the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
10. Counsellor Omar bin Said bin Omar Al-Kathiri the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Kingdom of Spain.
Article V
This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
