Royal Decree 71/2000 Amending the Name of the Directorate General of Colleges and Higher Institutes

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

Royal Decree 42/95 Transferring the Subordination of Some Educational Institutions to the Ministry of Higher Education and Approving the Organisational Structure of the Ministry,

and Royal Decree 36/2000 Determining the Mandates of the Ministry of Higher Education,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The name of the Directorate General of Colleges and Higher Institutes in the Ministry of Higher Education is hereby amended to the Directorate General of Colleges of Education.

Article II

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
