Royal Decree 57/88 Ratifying the Amendments to the Charter of the International Maritime Satellite Organization (INMARSAT) and Its Operating Agreement

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 88/80 on the Accession of the Sultanate to the Convention on the International Maritime Satellite Organization (INMARSAT),

and the amendments to the charter of the mentioned organisation and its operating agreement approved by the general assembly of the organisation at its fourth session held in London on 16 October 1985,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned amendments to the Charter of the International Maritime Satellite Organization and its Operating Agreement are hereby ratified.

Article II

All relevant entities, each within its mandates, shall undertake the necessary measures to implement this decree.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
